Yeast-Free Approved Beverages
One of the biggest challenges or ruts people find themselves in while on the yeast-free eating program is beverage options, or rather lack of options.
A question we get asked quite frequently is: “What do I drink?” The short answer is water.
But we understand that this may be tough for coffee, tea, and soda lovers. While water is of course the best choice, here are a few options to consider:
Infused Water
We always have and always will believe water is the best form of hydration; however, we know that your taste buds may require a little more variety. Try chopping up some fresh fruit and infusing it in your water to give it a little flavor. Cucumbers, lemons, limes, oranges, and strawberries mixed in with ice-cold water are so refreshing and incredibly satisfying.
Coffee
If you like your coffee black, the yeast-free eating program probably hasn’t phased you. However, if you are one of the many who love a little cream and sugar with your coffee, things are probably tough right now.
Cheer up – we can offer you a ray of hope! There are plenty of alternatives to dairy-based creamers, such as unsweetened coconut or almond milk.
You can also try natural sugar alternatives such as Sweet-n-Natural or Stevia.
Another option is to try spicing it up with cinnamon, cloves, pumpkin spice, or nutmeg.
Have you tried our Yeast-Free Pumpkin Spice Latte? If you are a fan of pumpkin, it does not disappoint!
Does it compare in taste to a calorie-laden drink from Starbucks? Not quite, but think of all the calories and sugar you are cutting out by one simple decision! Give it a try, and before you know it, you will be pleasantly surprised to find you no longer miss your former favorite calorie-laden drinks.
Herbal Teas
There are plenty of herbal teas loaded with flavor. Chai tea with a little unsweetened almond or coconut milk added is delicious! Be sure to look for teas that do not contain chemical additives or sweeteners.
Soda Replacement
Zevia is a wonderful replacement for those who enjoy soda. The flavors range from cola to root beer to orange soda. Check to see if a store near you sells Zevia at www.zevia.com using the store locator.
Sparkling Waters
Perrier and LaCroix are refreshing, flavored sparkling waters that make excellent alternatives, offering a little zing. Simply Balanced also has a few flavored sparkling waters.
Lemonade
Make your own lemonade or limeade with fresh lemons, limes, and Allulose!
Hot Chocolate
Yes, there is a delicious hot chocolate recipe that is Body Reboot (yeast-free) friendly! You can find it in the Optimal Eating Guide. If you haven’t already secured your copy, you can get the printed copy or e-book version HERE. What better time to make hot chocolate than on these chilly winter mornings we have been experiencing?! Remember, water is always best, especially since your body is going through a detoxification period when you follow the Body Reboot plan. However, we understand that your taste buds may need a little change of pace from time to time.
